MEOWWWW!

I'm Finwick, and I'm a beautiful domestic shorthair kitty. I am just a baby at only 4 months old. I am a beautiful grey tabby over white kitty, and I have just the most adorable white nose. I would really love to have a "furever" home for Valentine's Day! I am a sweet, friendly little guy who loves attention. I love to play with and be petted by anyone who comes close enough to my crate!  I am very vocal when people are near, loudly purring and meowing for their attention. My adoption
fee will be waived (FREE) with your approved application.

Purrrrrrr,

Finwick

Woof, Woof! I'm Sampson! I am a pretty brindle and white Pitbull mix guy. I am only about 2 years old. The people here at the shelter say I am very friendly and sweet. I love people, and everyone here at the shelter loves me! I passed every test they gave me here with flying colors. I would prefer to be the only doggie in your life--I want you all to myself!  I would love to find a "furever" Valentine of my own! Please come and meet me soon.

Love,

Sampson

WOOF! My name is Ladybug, and I'm only about 5 years old. I am a beautiful Labrador Retriever mix gal. I'm very friendly, and I love people. I also seem to get along well with other doggies. I am just a happy, wiggly girl to everyone I meet.  Do you think you could be my Valentine and my "furever" family?

Pick Me!

Who is RCACP?

The Regional Center for Animal Control & Protection (RCACP) is an open intake facility accepting stray and lost animals from animal control officers and the public, as well as owner relinquished pets, from the City and County of Roanoke, the County of Botetourt, and the Town of Vinton. The RCACP posts pictures of lost or strayed animals on their website, www.rcacp.org, to make it possible to search for a lost pet online. The website also contains a lost and found database that allows someone who has lost a pet, or someone who has found a pet, to post information on the animal to help reunite the pet with his/her family.

Adopting a Friend

Once an animal has passed his/her required holding time at the facility to allow the owner to reclaim him/her, the RCACP works with the Roanoke Valley SPCA, rescue groups and other shelters to place available animals in suitable homes. Animals who are housed at the RCACP that are posted on the Petfinder.com website have been deemed available and can be seen by visiting the center Monday - Friday between 11:30 - 5:30 pm and Saturday 11:30 - 4:00 pm. Once an adoption request is placed, an appointment will be made to complete the adoption through the RVSPCA. Each will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted. To place an adoption or rescue request, or for more complete information, please email us at  or call (540) 344-4922. Be sure to give us the animal's ID number to assure your name is on the right pet.
