MEOWWWW!

I'm Delia. I am a beautiful grey and white kitty gal with gorgeous white whiskers and eyebrows.  I am only about 2 years old.  I came to the shelter as stray. I would really like to have a "furever" home right way!  I am a sweet, friendly little girl who loves attention and loves to be petted. Could you be my "furever" family? M
adoption fee will be waived (FREE) with an approved application.

Woof, Woof!  I'm Kane! I am a gorgeous black and tan Rottweiler mix guy.  I am looking for my "furever" home after coming to the shelter as a stray. I am only about 6 years old. The people here at the shelter say I am very friendly--I love people, and I seem to get along with other dogs, too.  I wag my tail like a helicoptor when people are near and I love to lean on you when being petted!  I would love to find a "furever" home of my very own right away!

Love,

Kane

Woof!  My name is Balthazar.  I am practically just a baby at only 5 months old!  I am a gorgeous brown Pibble fellow who loves people. I am a smart guy who would love to learn a lot of tricks and commands in my new home.  I am just a pup who needs some time and attention. I will also need to be socialized with other dogs a little more.  I am eager to learn and please. Please come meet me today and be my "furever" family.

Pick Me!

Who is RCACP?

The Regional Center for Animal Control & Protection (RCACP) is an open intake facility accepting stray and lost animals from animal control officers and the public, as well as owner relinquished pets, from the City and County of Roanoke, the County of Botetourt, and the Town of Vinton. The RCACP posts pictures of lost or strayed animals on their website, www.rcacp.org, to make it possible to search for a lost pet online. The website also contains a lost and found database that allows someone who has lost a pet, or someone who has found a pet, to post information on the animal to help reunite the pet with his/her family.

Adopting a Friend

Once an animal has passed his/her required holding time at the facility to allow the owner to reclaim him/her, the RCACP works with the Roanoke Valley SPCA, rescue groups and other shelters to place available animals in suitable homes. Animals who are housed at the RCACP that are posted on the Petfinder.com website have been deemed available and can be seen by visiting the center Monday - Friday between 11:30 - 5:30 pm and Saturday 11:30 - 4:00 pm. Once an adoption request is placed, an appointment will be made to complete the adoption through the RVSPCA. Each will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted. To place an adoption or rescue request, or for more complete information, please email us at  or call (540) 344-4922. Be sure to give us the animal's ID number to assure your name is on the right pet.
