MEOWWWW!

I'm Mystic, and I'm a 5 year old domestic shorthair. I am a "mystical" tabby girl. I came to the shelter as an owner release. I would love to have a great "furever" home and family.  I am a super sweet kitty who will nudge you for more attention if you stop petting me!  I must mention that my adoption
fee will be waived (FREE) with your approved application!

Purrrrrrr,

Mystic

Woof, Woof! I'm Doober!  I am a gorgeous and sweet black and white Pitbull.  I'm only about a year old. I came to the shelter as a stray. I have quickly become a volunteer favorite at the shelter in my short time here!  I am a GREAT listener--I

love to sit and listen when you talk to me. I really love it when you show me some affection, too. I am young, but I already weigh about 75 pounds, so I may knock little ones over...but I would not mean to, if I did. I am an easy walker on my leash.

I passed all my tests here at the shelter with ease. I would love to find a "furever" home of my own today--please come and meet me!

Love,

Doober

WOOF! My name is Champ!  I'm only about 5 years old, and just like my name says, I am a champ at being a good boy.  I am a handsome Lab mix fellow who's very outgoing and friendly. I love people. I like most other dogs once I get to know them. Do you think you could be my "furever" family?

Pick Me!

Who is RCACP?

The Regional Center for Animal Control & Protection (RCACP) is an open intake facility accepting stray and lost animals from animal control officers and the public, as well as owner relinquished pets, from the City and County of Roanoke, the County of Botetourt, and the Town of Vinton. The RCACP posts pictures of lost or strayed animals on their website, www.rcacp.org, to make it possible to search for a lost pet online. The website also contains a lost and found database that allows someone who has lost a pet, or someone who has found a pet, to post information on the animal to help reunite the pet with his/her family.

Adopting a Friend

Once an animal has passed his/her required holding time at the facility to allow the owner to reclaim him/her, the RCACP works with the Roanoke Valley SPCA, rescue groups and other shelters to place available animals in suitable homes. Animals who are housed at the RCACP that are posted on the Petfinder.com website have been deemed available and can be seen by visiting the center Monday - Friday between 11:30 - 5:30 pm and Saturday 11:30 - 4:00 pm. Once an adoption request is placed, an appointment will be made to complete the adoption through the RVSPCA. Each will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted. To place an adoption or rescue request, or for more complete information, please email us at  or call (540) 344-4922. Be sure to give us the animal's ID number to assure your name is on the right pet.
