Purchasing Process
The Town of Vinton's purchasing process has both formal and informal procurement procedures.
Less than $20,000
Informal procedures are used when the town makes purchases less than $20,000. The town makes so many purchases less than $20,000 that the best way to find out about these purchases is to contact the various individual departments.
More than $20,000
Formal procedures are used when purchases exceed $20,000. Upcoming and current bids for contracts in excess of $20,000 are posted online.
