Program Description

The Downtown Facade Grant Program will provide grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 to assist small businesses in designated areas in the Town of Vinton, with building facade and other general property improvements undertaken in accordance with established design guidelines. Design guidelines address various items, including:

  • Architecture/ Engineering
  • Awnings
  • Landscaping
  • Lighting
  • Signage
  • Veneers
  • Walls
  • more

Steps to Apply

  1. Review the Facade Grant Guidelines (PDF) document for an overview of the grant program and eligible uses.
  2. Contact Jill Loope to schedule a meeting with Economic Development and Planning & Zoning staff to determine scope of project and eligibility.
    • NOTICE: Applicants must have proposed facade improvements approved by Town of Vinton Staff BEFORE works begins in order to receive grant reimbursement.
  3. Complete and return the Facade Grant Application Packet (PDF) to:

  4. Applicants will receive a letter for their grant award determination.
