Notice of Willingness to hold Design Public Hearing
Project Description
This SMART SCALE funded project will provide sidewalk improvements, curb and gutter, crosswalks, bike lanes, lighting, and ADA ramps along a 0.47 mile segment of Walnut Avenue between 1st Street and 5th Street. Phase III is the final section of planned bicycle and pedestrian improvements along Walnut Avenue from the Roanoke City limits to W. Lee Avenue.
Updates
The VDOT Salem District Office engineers are currently in the preliminary design phase of this project and have been conducting intensive surveying work within the project area.
