The Town of Vinton is excited to host the Field of Honor 2025 to honor our fallen heroes at the Vinton War Memorial beginning November 1, 2025. Each U.S. flag represents an individual and tells a story. Flags will be displayed through November 14, 2025. Flags may be sponsored to honor a fallen hero in your life. This unique event is the perfect opportunity to remember and honor the heroes in our life. Click here to learn more or to dedicate a flag.
Participation Opportunity
Town of Vinton's Veterans Outreach Committee is celebrating Veterans Day with the 2nd Annual Ruck March through town on Saturday, November 1st. The Ruck will kick off at 8:30 am and begin from the Vinton War Memorial, 814 E Washington Ave. Participants will march four (4) miles through town. All proceeds from the Ruck will go to support the Field of Honor. Immediately following the Ruck, participants are encouraged to help the Town of Vinton Veterans Outreach Committee deploy 300 American flags on the main lawn of the Vinton War Memorial.
