Public Works currently has serveral water crews making water repairs within the Montgomery Village neighborhood. Crews were dispatched early yesterday evening and worked throughout the night on the water system. We anticipate that there are still twenty-five to thirty residents still without water service this morning. The crews will be working on Abbey circle today. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the water system disruption and we are working to have the repairs made as soon as possible.
Once your water service has been restored, you may notice some brownish coloring in the water. We suggest that you run the cold water in the highest level bathtub you have in your home for approximately 20 minutes and flush your toilets twice each. These actions will help clear your water pipes.
We appreciate your patience while we work through this emergency. If you have questions, feel free to contact Public Works at (540) 983-0646. Thank you.
