[ARCHIVED] Water Service Line Repair In Progress

Public Works is aware of a water service line break at the intersection of S. Preston Road and Fairmont Drive. Our crew is on site but it could be several hours before the repairs are completed.

In the meantime, you will experience low pressure to no water. Affected streets will include S. Preston Road, Fairmont Drive, Marshall Avenue, Tobias Road and Minnie Bell Lane. It may also affect some addresses on Washington Avenue near Fairmont Drive.

Once water is restored, you may have brown water. We suggest that you run the cold water in your tub for approximately 20 minutes and flush your commodes twice each. These actions should pull enough water through your home to clear out your service line.

We appreciate your patience while we work through this emergency. If you have questions, feel free to contact Public Works at (540) 983-0646. Thank you.
