City to Inspect Dale Avenue Bridge
Roanoke, VA – The City of Roanoke has scheduled routine inspection of the bridge on Virginia Ave/Dale Avenue (linking Vinton and Roanoke City) at Tinker Creek. Inspection will take place on October 31, 2012 – rain or shine.
The equipment being used will require the city to close off one lane to safely and effectively perform the inspection. The right, eastbound lane (coming into Vinton) will be closed around 8:00 a.m. and is expected to last approximately 3 hours. The right, westbound lane (entering Roanoke) will be closed before 3:00 p.m. and is expected to last about 3 hours.
The schedule for lane closures has been planned in such a way as to avoid blocking lanes during high traffic hours. If at all possible, please plan to travel using an alternate route as traffic delays will be unavoidable. The City of Roanoke and Town of Vinton appreciate your patience and understanding in advance of this event.
