Pavement striping of various streets in the Town of Vinton scheduled to begin during the week of November 15th was postponed due to inclement weather and unforeseen contractor scheduling conflicts. Work is now expected to start and be completed sometime during the week of November 29th or December 6th. The work consists of re-striping center lane markings and two crosswalks; and should be completed in about 2 to 3 working days.
The following streets are included: Third Street (from Franklin Ave. to Wyndham), Niagara Road, Wyndham Drive, Clearview Drive, East Cleveland-Bedford intersection; and crosswalks on Washington Ave. in the 200 and 500 blocks.
Motorists are advised to be alert and to exercise extreme caution in the work areas. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible while the work is being performed.
The Town appreciates in advance, citizen and motorist patience and cooperation during this work. There will be minor traffic disruptions and inconvenience, but upon completion motorists will realize a higher degree of safety on these streets.
