[ARCHIVED] Inclement Weather Update

Inclement Weather Update:

The next 24 hours will still be frigid, but not as cold as Saturday night.  During the overnight hours of Sunday into Monday, a slow rise in temperatures will begin, but it will continue to remain well below freezing.  Black ice will continue to be an issue overnight and during the Monday morning commute.

The good news is that the winds died down this afternoon, so there will not be as much of a wind chill factor.  By Monday mid-day, temperatures will warm up to the low to mid 30s, so there maybe some melting.  However Monday night, temperatures will drop back below freezing so black ice will be a concern overnight and during the Tuesday morning commute.  By Tuesday afternoon, temperatures will warm back up into the 40s, and then from Wednesday on, temperatures will be in the upper 50s to low 60s.  There is a chance of rain on Wednesday and again on Saturday.  That will help with washing the salt off the roads.

Please use caution when you are out on the roads and be aware of possible black ice. Also, continue to check in on elderly or infirmed neighbors to make sure they have heat and food.  Please make sure your pets have a warm, safe place to stay and plenty of food and water.
