State law and regulations require all cities, counties, and towns in Virginia to develop a Water Supply Plan. The Town in partnership with 11 other regional governments developed a plan that identified existing water uses and a projected water supply demand through the year 2060. The Town is projected to have a surplus in the year 2060. The plan is in final draft form and will be submitted to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, Office of Surface & Groundwater Supply Planning by 2 November. An Executive Summary and the complete plan are available to interested citizens.
