Volunteer Fire Department Basic Classes
The following classes are the basis courses needed to be completed by volunteer firefighters:
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) - 8 hours
- Emergency vehicle operator course (EVOC) - 16 hours
- Hazardous materials (Haz-Mat) - 16 hours
- Vehicle extrication - 20 hours

Other classes offered through the Volunteer Fire Department include:
- Basic light-duty rescue
- Heavy-duty rescue
- Rescue ropes
- Swift water rescue
- Trauma life
